Job Opening Summary
The incumbent in this position serves as the operational lead for the Urban Health Alliance. As such, the incumbent plans, develops and coordinates activities designed to improve community health through a four pillar approach; services, education, research and policy. The goal is to improve the health of the most vulnerable members of the community using multi-sector collaboration to directly impact social factors negatively influencing their health status. Incumbent is also responsible for overseeing community based grant reporting. This includes gathering, compiling and reporting data from activities to illustrate success, measures and metrics as they relate to the activities facilitated through the alliance. These duties will be executive in a manner to support UF Health Jacksonville in achieving its mission, vision, values and strategic goals.
Job Opening Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public/community health, health education, community health, health science, health administration or psychology from an accredited institution
Required Licensure/Certifications:
N/A
Preferred Licensure/Certification:
N/A
Required Experience:
Less than one year Community Outreach or Health Education experience
Preferred Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in community outreach or health education
Necessary Skills:
1. Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
2. Proven track records of sales/relationship building and/or community outreach
3. Event coordination skills
4. Computer proficiency – MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.) or ability to learn new software quickly
