Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am-3:30 pm
Pay Rate: starting at $20.34
Location: Shelbyville, KY
While reporting to the Plant Engineer, as the Mold Setter, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations.You will be responsible for the proper set-up of all molds and related functions.Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Directs and executes mold changes per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes and related functions such knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. for foam molding machines
Set parameters on the molding press to the process verification sheet if applicable and ensure all documentation is completed, submitted, and filed in a timely manner
Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all mold halves, specifically for the purpose of mold repair.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of all mold carrying trucks.
Installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment from the molding floor.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on/to molds.
Assist with start-up of presses
Other duties as required
