Moulder Operator

Position Summary

Responsible for safely setting up, maintaining, and operating moulding machines for Millworks manufacturer in Ridgeland, SC, near Hilton Head Island, SC

Position Details

• Sets up and/or adjust any moulder in plant.
• Checks stock at beginning and during run for condition of moulding.
• Experience with straight-line ripsaw preferred.
• Makes rough visual inspection of all parts and discards cull pieces.
• Checks against sketches/blueprints or master patterns.
• Helps count parts when run is complete.
• Checks condition of knives, heads, and other parts of moulder as necessary.
• Takes knives to file room for storage/labeling and/or sharpening.
• May operate Mould Sander machine.
• Observes plant safety rules.
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous moulding operator experience preferred.

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift or push up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
