Role description:

Arcadis' Resilience Environment team is seeking an experienced Program Manager/Director to lead our growing portfolio of projects within the Munitions Response (MR) marketplace. In this role , you will be responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the MR portfolio. This includes the overall market strategy, working with client teams to develop pursuit strategies, and lead the delivery of MR investigation and remediation projects across the United States and internationally.

Role accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans to include: targeted clients and project pursuits; value propositions for targeted markets; and, tactics to raise Arcadis’ profile in the marketplace. Tactics could include participation at professional conferences, events and networking opportunities with potential clients, targeting potential teaming partners and strategic hires; and outlining political strategies to better position Arcadis for project opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key and targeted clients and at all required levels within client organizations. Identify, target, and develop preferred new clients with significant opportunities. Play an active role in strengthening key client relationships through client maintenance activities. Participate in negotiation and closing of high-priority contracts.
  • Balance program-level workload and schedules to optimize utilization of project management and technical teams. Collaborate with Operations Leadership to identify and recruit strategic hires.
  • Monitor project delivery to ensure that client and project teams are performing efficiently and that client satisfaction is maintained.
  • Track and evaluate portfolio financial details to identify and address areas of potential concern.
  • Review contractual language and clearly understand any risks that may have a potential impact on the execution of work, and ensure the project team is fully engaged with risk mitigation actions.
  • Work with client and project teams to identify, track, and mitigate portfolio/project risks.
  • Partner with Operations leadership and staff to develop and oversee market, client, and pursuit plans that achieve sustained, long-term net revenue growth
  • Communicate the growth strategy of the MR to staff and business line leadership, help staff maintain focus on high-priority clients and pursuits, and lead client and pursuit go/no-go decisions in collaboration with others.
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff on best practices and motivate staff to achieve business growth goals.
  • Ensure client development and marketing processes are being followed consistently.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics, Geology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience managing Munitions Response projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An understanding of environmental and regulatory processes, primarily associated with CERCLA (e.g. SI, RI/FS, etc.) and RCRA programs.
  • Experience concerning sites involving Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC), to include investigation, characterization, remediation, and operational range clearance
  • Understanding of project cost drivers as it relates to project cost estimates and actual production rates, to ensure projects are delivered on budget
  • Experience managing projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and/or the Army Environmental Command (AEC)

Arcadis offers benefits for full-time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401K plan, STD and LTD, and Life Insurance as well as some additional optional benefits.

Full-time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels, a bonus program may apply.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $183,000 for Colorado and Connecticut-based positions only.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $198,000 for New York City-based positions only.

Other locations will vary in salary range.
