Job description
Dedicated Trainer for Corewell Health West to serve medical group needs for team care training. In this role someone will develop training materials, research best in practice training, and deliver key concepts for team based care. Using tools of consulting, mentoring, coaching and interprofessional collaboration, the nurse educator facilitates professional development and training. Training programs will be for primary care, team based care, basic care coordination, advanced coordination, serious illness discussions, trauma informed care and specialty office care.

Functions in the roles of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry (application of research, evidence based practice and improvement science), and partner for clinical practice transitions.
Essential Functions
  • Position will support trainings and continuous skill building related to team and value based care
  • Develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts and evaluates competency programs.
  • Designs and develops educational opportunities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skills and practice. This may include obtaining continuing education approval.
  • Fosters interprofessional learning and enables effective collaboration to improve practice outcomes for the nurse and other health care personnel. Functions as a mentor, coach, and resource in the development of nursing and other clinical support roles as the employee transitions throughout their career life cycle.
  • Applies research, evidenced based practice and quality improvement principles in education, professional role development, orientation, and competency.
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Preferred Master's Degree Nursing Education or Adult Education
  • 5 years of relevant experience clinical experience related to area of focus Required
  • Education and program development Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
