Salary Range: $118,000.00-$125,000.00

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a full-time position within the division of Pulmonology, supporting both our research and clinical operations. The Nurse practitioner will work with both teams to provide exemplary care to our patients. The primary functions are to evaluate patients for research study eligibility, manage clinical research protocols and procedures, and work with collaborating clinicians to provide direct, comprehensive patient-centered care. Responsibilities

Research- 75%

Implement study procedures and protocols under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Administers treatments for clinical trials and completes adverse event reporting.

Evaluates patients for research study eligibility or currently enrolled study participants, includes documenting medical history, and performing physical exams and diagnostic testing, prescribing medicines according to protocols.

Follow-up on asthma exacerbations.

Ensure continuity of care and retention of research study participants.

Participates in research and administrative meetings.

Clinical- 25%

Serves as an integral member of the clinical team- working both autonomously and in collaboration with physicians and other team members.

Provides comprehensive care by assessing, managing, and educating patients.

Completes patient's history and physical, reviews results, orders appropriate testing, and provides treatment recommendations.

Completes prescriptions, triages patient messages, and assists with pre-authorizations.

Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus one to two years of experience

Current New York State NP and RN license

Board certification

DEA license

BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical Research experience

Fluency in Spanish

Other Requirements

Participation in medical surveillance program

Contact with patients and/or human research subjects

Wear N-95 respirator

Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure

Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
