Hale Ku'ike, the standard in memory care, is looking for compassionate, dependable Nursing Assistants to join our Pali location.
Job Type: Part-time or Full-Time available
Location: Pali (Honolulu)
Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant will be responsible for the care of assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner according to the Hale Ku’ike mission, facility standards, procedures, and resident care plans.
Primary Job Functions
- Provide resident care: dressing/undressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, nutrition, movement, psychosocial care
- Monitor resident health status: measure body functions, monitor skin integrity, document care provided
- Communicate effectively and cooperate with team members and other staff in a helpful, respectful, and courteous manner
- Respond appropriately to residents’ requests for help and maintain positive relationships with residents’ family and friends
- Assure that residents' rooms and bathrooms and all common areas are clean; assist with cleaning as needed
- Maintain safe work practices and follow facility safety procedures
- Other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
- tuberculosis clearance (2-step TB test)
- Physician’s health clearance (within 1 year)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Successful background check, in accordance with local laws/regulations
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program is preferred at the time of hire
- State of Hawaii CNA license is a plus (differential pay for licensed CNAs)
- Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of the role (reasonable accommodations for qualified disabilities will be considered on an individual basis as provided under the Americans with Disabilities Act)
- Requires excellent communication skills across all levels of the company
- Must be a reliable team player
- Ability to adjust to a dynamic work environment
Compensation
Starting wage is $16.50 with differentials based on shift, role, and licensure status. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, generous paid time off, free on-site parking, free meals, and other perks.
