ApexNetwork Physical Therapy is now hiring for a part time Occupational Therapist position at our North Port, FL outpatient location. The Occupational Therapist will provide patient assessment, care planning, and direct treatment for a variety of conditions such as shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand pathology.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Evaluate, identify and treat physical deficits that interfere with the patients ability to perform daily life activities. Follow recommendations on MD's orders.
• Design restorative programs and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Develop and enter Care Plans in the system for each of the patients needs. Maintain timely and accurate documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and active license to perform Occupational Therapy in the state of Florida; New Grads are welcome to apply.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem- solving and decision-making skills.
• Utilizes effective time management skills.

This position is ideal for an applicant looking for part time only work or outpatient hours to supplement another position in a home health or skilled setting. Pay is hourly and negotiable based on experience.
