We are currently seeking an Office Assistant to join our Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL

***Must be available Tuesday thru Saturday 8AM - 5PM with some flexibility***
The Office Assistant answers inquiries and provides information to the general public, visitors, and other interested parties, escalating concerns as needed.

Scope of work:

  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers

  • Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages

  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints

  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer

  • Responsible for greeting persons entering establishments, determining nature and purpose of visit, and directing or escorting them to specific destinations. Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests

  • Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities

  • Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars

  • Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents

  • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries

  • Complete other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as an Office Assistant or similar position
  • Excellent customer service skills, super positive attitude
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite preferred
