The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. We offer the training and lay the groundwork for you to advance to your own account executive position to earn a high commission salary.
You will be dispatching and managing drivers, inputting data to build loads through our TMS system online and working with a senior freight broker to help expand and service their current accounts while learning the business as a whole.
Biggest benefit: You have the ability to graduate into being a full-time account executive after learning the industry as an assistant under one of our best brokers. After a few months, the expectation would be that you would learn enough and see enough in the daily office procedures that you would progress to building your own customer base and building your own book of business.
Responsibilities
- Assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
- Sort and distribute communications to drivers and brokers in a timely manner
- Create and update records of loads and trip information ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Schedule and plan deliveries and pick-ups for drivers on the road and locally
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
- Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
- Perform receptionist duties and clerical work

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
