We are seeking an office assistant/bookkeeper assistant to work with our other office staff. QuickBooks Online knowledge and experience is preferred. We need someone who can communicate well with our current office manager and takes direction. We have some big projects coming up that will be very time consuming for the office manager, you will need to be able to jump in and help out wherever is needed to ensure the company flows properly when she is slammed with additional duties. We don’t expect you to be able to do that right away, we will train you so that you can slowly transition into that role overtime. The workspace is shared between you and the office manager and it gets a little tight. We use the app Monday to track and delegate tasks. You will be expected to complete your daily assigned tasks and keep the app updated with notes on your progress. It will require the ability to problem solve and adapt to ensure you make the most of your time. You and the office manager keep the businesses flowing so we need someone reliable and consistent. I would rather train someone who has a great attitude and communicates well than hire someone with experience who d oesn’t work well the other office staff. If you have both experience and a great attitude/communication, all the better. This is a great job for someone who is going to school or wants to become a bookkeeper or accountant because you will have lots of opportunity to learn and get hands on training.

  • Our preferred knowledge and experience, include but are not limited to: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OutlookEtc.), QuickBooks (Online), Quickbooks Time, Creation of spreadsheets and reports, Adobe PDF, basic accounting principles familiarity, technologically savvy, ability to keep track of multiple company files, bank accounts and records at once. Comfortable in a fast paced industry, Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.
  • Desired skills and qualities include: Ability to change direction with short notice, self starter. An eagerness to learn and grow individually and with the company is a must. ability to make educated decisions, reliable, fast learner with attention to detail. The ability to analyze financial information will be extremely helpful.
  • Duties for this role are but not limited to the following: ordering office supplies, filing paperwork, new employee onboarding, employee Time tracking with Quickbooks Time, making sure employees clock in to correct projects for accurate job costing, categorizing expenses, bank reconciliations, A/R A/P, checking emails and responding throughout the day, filing preliminary lien notices on state construction registry, lien release paperwork and eventually payroll but that won’t be until your comfortable with all other duties and become familiar with all of our companies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
