Job description
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of quality products while following all environmental regulations.
- Establish general priorities with regard to maintenance, utilities, raw materials, production equipment, and other available resources to ensure efficient operations.
- Build on a 20 year partnership PPG has in the OLED business.
- Guide commercialization to meet customer demand with the highest degree of manufacturing integrity.
- Support the preparation and presentation of training materials for the department staff, plant and other PPG personnel, customers.
- Work with the marketing, business management, and technical staffs.
- Profit plan goals, budgets, ACT’s and purchases within their approval authority guidelines.
- Help set plant policies, working with all business and plant associates, outside contractors and vendors, and customers and the public to achieve business and community goals.
- A Technical Bachelor's Degree is required and preferably a Chemistry minor.
- 10 years’ experience in chemical plant operations and a good organic chemistry background.
- Must be safety minded and willing to watch the details of the operation.
- Willing to respond to emergencies inside or outside the plant for PPG's products.
