The Operational Controller’s main role is to prepare all ground operations arrangements and/or services for all scheduled trips (e.g., landing and overflight permits, customs arrangements, handling requests, airport/services).
Your Responsibilities:
Flight Preparation 50%
- Running initial flight plan when overflight permits are
- Liaising with external providers (handling agents, FBOs, fuel suppliers, Civil Aviation Authorities, customs, etc.) concerning any ground services arrangements or operational requirements for each flight such as:
- Airport/FBO overtime
- Hangar reservations when needed
- GPU/ASU when needed
- Other ground services as required or requested by our customers
- Requesting and confirming Overflight and Landing Permits for all flights as
- Submitting flight, crew, and passenger information to Customs and Border agencies where
- Ensuring that the selected FBOs/Handling Agents match the Company’s list of preferred providers unless otherwise specifically requested by a
- Managing the fuel orders’ workflow and submitting fuel order requests when needed or as directed.

- Communicating any potential issues to the Shift Supervisor and/or AM/CS Teams in a timely manner.
- Provide the most accurate information on the status of flights during the planning stage (e.g., airport slots, permissions) while always keeping the system up to
- Ensure that all the above is fulfilled efficiently, always within the safety boundaries and with the customer’s satisfaction in mind.
Other Duties 5%
- Other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or the Duty Manager.
- Experience within Commercial Aviation Operations environment including:
- Airline and Business Jet operators
- FBOs or handling agents
- Airport Operations
- Flight school operations.
- Entrepreneurial skills with professional attitude & a strong business acumen
- Team player, pro-active, service driven and out of the box thinking.
- Strong love to detail is a must.
- High customer/service orientation with cross cultural understanding.
- Proficient with computer systems including MS Office Suite.
- Must have flexibility to work a variety of shifts including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
Beneficial skills and experience:
- Aviation related studies and/or degree
- Worldwide Flight and/or Ground Operations Experience
