Responsibilities and Expectations

• Manage the capacity, quality, and inventory accuracy of the stockroom

• Train and supervise Toy Techs on all stockroom procedures and processes, including productivity expectations.

• Motivate, organize, and promote teamwork within the operation team.

• Understand, educate, implement, and enforce company policies.

• Manage and monitor daily attendance, team breaks, and zone assignments

• Unload and unpack new merchandise shipments, and prepare them for the salesfloor

• Deliver merchandise to the appropriate zone for placement on the salesfloor and replenish the sales floor as needed

• Organize and maintain merchandise in stockrooms

• Conduct regular store inventory

• Understand FAO’s inventory systems and processes to be able to best support our team and our customers

• Collect damaged merchandise from designated areas and process accordingly

• Manage FAO Ship Station to support all online and store orders.

• Manage Buy online and ship from store (Bopis)

• Manage and support buy online ship from store (Boss)

• Support with FAO to go, scheduling pickups with courier service

• Box and pack send sales utilizing FedEx and scheduling pickups

• Observe proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items

• Provide support for major store marketing events, Personally Shopper product needs, etc.

• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Stock Lead experience in a retail environment

• Capable of lift push or pull over 50 pounds on a regular basis, bending and twisting and standing for long periods of time

• A sense of whimsy, a nostalgia for toys, and a fondness for the FAO Schwarz brand

• Excellent collaboration, communication, time management, adaptability, drive for results, influence for impact, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to lead and remain positive, resilient, adaptable, and succeed in a fast paced, public facing retail environment
