Job Details:
- Oversee the Facilities and Housekeeping function.
- Manage all assignments from Facilities request system, prioritizing jobs ensuring efficiency of staff and supplies.
- Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and develop all department personnel.
- Prepare and maintain work schedules for Department staff.
- Create standards for work tasks enabling CHNJ to measure staff efficiency and material usage.
- Schedule and plan for routine repairs and maintenance of physical plant and related equipment through assignments and related supplies needed to do tasks.
- Communicate delivery dates for Facilities requests to departments who make requests.
- Establish inventory organization system for all storage locations and setting par levels.
- Review and monitors vendor contracts, rebidding/renewing annually or as needed.
- Gather insurance certificates from all vendors annually or as needed.
- Supervise vendors in the maintenance of the safety, security and fire control systems and equipment.
- Assist in the purchase of agency vehicles monitoring the maintenance for the entire fleet.
- Act as liaison with all outside contractors to gather bids and create budgets for projects and grants.
- Assist in the selection of contractors and approve invoices for vendor payments and supplies.
- Monitor usage of agency credit card accounts, e.g., Home Depot and cash purchases.
- Assist the Director in developing budgets for labor and non-labor costs for the Department, as well as special project and grant budgets.
- Interface with program staff and communicate facility issues/concerns that effect program operations.
- Assist as needed with fundraising affairs and special events which may be conducted outside the employee’s normal work schedule.
- Inspect jobs assigned to staff on a daily, weekly, & monthly to ensure jobs are completed timely, efficiently and correctly.
- Conduct monthly (minimum) site walk through inspections providing check lists of deficiencies and up keep concerns for each CH North sites.
- Responsible for annual Child Protection Site Safety Surveys.
- Management of all in-kind donation receipts, pickups, storage and distribution to end users and community partners.
- Required to check email daily.
- May be required to work occasional weekends.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Applicant Must be available to work Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Experience and Skills:
- Associates Degree preferred and/or technical school certificates and a minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible related experience in a related field and at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated technical abilities in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to the position including heavy lifting of up to 5o pounds.
- Valid NJ driver’s license with an insurable record.
- Applicant May be required to work some weekends if needed.
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19.
