Elevated Eyecare is looking to hire a part-time Optometric Receptionist/Technician. We are a primary care eye clinic located inside Ft Lewis at the PX. We are looking for a personable, ambitious, and reliable individual for this position. This is a long term position that can lead to a manager level position within the company. This position will include the following tasks:

• Scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
• Assists with patient care such as managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam
• Checking patients in and out
• Checking vision and medical insurance eligibility
• Assisting Doctor with patient care not limited to checking visual acuity, auto refraction, and non contact tonometry.
• Filing insurance claims
• Contact lens training and ordering contact lens trials
• Completing bank deposits

Schedule:

• 3 days a week: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in optometry or ophthalmology office.
• Ability to work from Tuesday to Saturday. There is some flexibility in days and hours that can be discussed
• Strong communicator and problem solving skills
• Ability to use exam software and optometric equipment

Pay: $16-$20 per hour depending on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
