Paint Manufacturing Preassembler
Job description
- Operating forklift safely and properly including safe handling of hazardous (flammable) materials
- Forklift certification required in first 60 days
- Conduct daily forklift maintenance checklists and PM logs
- Ability to read and understand batch ticket, work instructions, or pick slip to select the correct materials to be staged
- Actively participate in warehouse organization/storage with emphasis on inventory control
- Load and unload trucks as necessary, including identification of materials and proper tagging for inventory control
- Assist in maintaining inventory tracking logs and data entry into inventory control process
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year experience in manufacturing-coating and adhesive
- High School Diploma
- Preferred: previous mixing experience as a batch maker
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds
- Must be comfortable working in a dusty environment around paint smells
