Job Summary:
Functions as an emergency response medical professional that administers immediate medical care to victims of accidents, violence, and sudden illnesses such as cardiac arrests or strokes. Provides pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility.

- 2 years Experience in advanced life support service
- 1 year Pre-hospital paramedic experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
- Ability to assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families.
- Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper documentation tools.
- Demonstrates age-specific competencies in the care of neonates, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school aged, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions.
- Must be able to apply advance knowledge and training, developing and executing a plan of care, and rapidly intervene in life-saving procedures.
Licensure - Required:
- Emergency Med Tech - Paramedic Upon Hire
- Drivers License 21 years of age to drive Upon Hire
Certifications - Required:
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support American Heart Association
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support American Heart Association
- CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation American Heart Association
- EMSVO Certification
- NIMS 100, 200, 700
Licensure - Preferred:
- Emergency Med Tech - Paramedic National Registry
Location: Lehigh Valley Health Network ยท Hazleton EMS Operations
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours, Night Shift, 12 hour shift 0600-1800
