Have you ever browsed a website only to have ads for an item you looked at start following you around the internet? Clearly some digital force is aware of your every online move. They’re called tags: little pixel-sized tracking beacons that are embedded in the coding on web pages to capture and report site activity. Sometimes these tags break because human error interferes with their tracking abilities, leaving marketers blind about what’s working or not in order to better serve your online needs.

At ObservePoint, we make sure those tags are functioning properly. Our patented technology allows us to audit the digital tags on a website and check for functionality. We locate and report on any errors or potential issues and can even set up proactive alerts to notify site owners when things break. And who cares about tags breaking? All the biggest brands in the world, many of whom are our clients:

Adobe, Comcast, Ford, HPE, Harley-Davidson, Texas Instruments, Overstock.com, and Johnson & Johnson (just to name a few).

Position Overview

The ObservePoint Finance team is looking for a part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to drive billings and collections. This critical position is ideal for someone with excellent customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail, and is not afraid to pick up the phone to resolve an issue. The individual will report directly to the Controller.

You will be expected to work approximately 20-30 hours a week depending on volume of orders.

This is a flexible hybrid role with 1-3 days a week in-office and reports to the Controller.

Principal Responsibilities

• Maintain, automate, and continuously improve billing and collections processes
• Create invoices and record deposits in NetSuite
• Submit invoices via online customer portals and other methods
• Maintain and update customer records and contacts
• Forecast Cash collections Monthly
• Manage overdue accounts by reaching out to customers to collect payment
• Respond to customer and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely manner
• Generate credit memos, account adjustments and refunds after ensuring proper approvals have been obtained
• Prepare ad hoc reports and help with other accounting functions as needed

Required

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear understanding of standard billings and collections processes
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfortable navigating new internet portals and learning new tools
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenging work
• Basic understanding of accounting principles

Great to have

• Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce
• Prior enterprise billing and collections experience
