Emerald Heights is hiring a Driver!! This is not your typical driving job! When you join, you will work with our residents to ensure they arrive to their destination safely and on-time. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with our residents! In March, you will begin working as a shuttle driver for our employees to get to and from campus from a local parking lot nearby. You will then have the ability to build close relationships with our employees!

Pay Scale:
$22.00-$26.00
We offer:
100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

Resident Driver: What your day will look like:
- Drive campus vehicles and transport residents to shopping, doctors’ appointments, and other scheduled trips.
- Ensure safety of residents by following safety and traffic rules and regulations.
- Assist residents while boarding and disembarking from vehicles.
- Keep interior and exterior of vehicles neat, clean and in an orderly condition, replenish fuel when needed, and safety check vehicle prior to departure.
Employee Shuttle Driver: What your day will look like:
- Greets employees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Drives employees to and from Emerald Heights to nearby shuttle parking.
- Ensure safety of employees by following safety and traffic rules and regulations.
- Uses good judgment and safe driving skills at all times.
- Keeps a timely shuttle route.
- Keep interior and exterior of vehicles neat, clean and in an orderly condition, replenish fuel when needed, and safety check vehicle prior to departure.
Requirements:
- Washington State Class B driver's license with passenger (P) endorsement if CDL certified, or an active Driver’s License.
- Motor Vehicle Record check with no serious violations recorded.
- DOT Drug Test only if CDL certified.
- Current DOT Physical Certification only if CDL certified (If yours is expired, we will pay for your physical exam recertification).
- First Aid training, HIV/AIDS training and CPR certification or ability to receive training within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain training in safe transfers, assisting residents who are wheelchair bound or use a walker, and safety practices in securing wheelchairs in the vehicle within 30 days of hire.
