The Parts Advisor is responsible for correctly and efficiently providing parts to our service technicians and retail customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status
• Ability to use and understand parts catalog websites when looking up and identifying specific parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provide high level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Assists in cashing out customers when necessary.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Additional, Dealer-Specific Duties May Include:

• Depending on dealership and location, the parts advisor may focus on one specific area of the parts department, to include the front counter, wholesale department, body shop parts department, retail counter, the warehouse, or other areas as assigned.
• Assists the parts manager with day-to-day operations, training, and other tasks as needed
• Assists in the logistics of all deliveries, as well as occasional delivery of parts to other locations
• May be responsible for the organization, layout, placement, and processes within the warehouse

• Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Automotive Dealership experience is strongly preferred, especially within the parts department.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
