Baptist Medical Center Nassau is currently hiring for a PRN Various Shifts Patient Access Rep II to join our Registration Departement at our Baptist Nassau location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Various Shifts. Needs open availability.

The Patient Access Rep II will work with a medium size team to accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information. This position will be in the Registration Department at Baptist Nassau. Candiates will be working at the front desk and will primarily check patients in/out, schedule appointments and verify insurance coverage/benefits. This position requires an individal who has strong written/verbal communication, technical literacy, time management skills and leadership skills. The growth potential for this position includes cross training with ER and outpatient services, Patient Access Rep III and Supervisor.

• Registering patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• BLS CPR certification within 30 days of hire for ED positions.

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required
