RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities:

RiverView Health has an opening for a full-time (64 hours every 2 weeks) Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department with the potential to increase to a 1.0 status. The Patient Access Representative will perform all duties related to the pre-registration, registration, and financial clearance processes for all patients. Provides customer service to patients and orients patients to the registration process. Patient Access Representatives communicate directly with patients and families, physicians, nurses, insurance companies and is responsible for collecting all pertinent data as well as applicable co-pays upon presentation. The position will work the night shift which is 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. on the weekdays and 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. on the weekends and includes working every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Salary range is $16.76 - $23.47 and starting wage is dependent on experience. Shift differential is paid for working the night shift. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED is required.
Minimum two(2)years of customer service experience is required.
Experience in Patient Access is preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, Epic, and medical insurance is preferred.
