Job description
Greets clients of health services, facilitates the patient registration process and schedules appointments.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provides the necessary forms and assists clients in completing paperwork if needed.
Collects and maintains all patient demographic data and updates information at each appointment.
Upon intake, obtains copies of all insurance cards and enters information into the database; identifies any discrepancies and updates the system accordingly.
Schedules and confirms medical appointments, dental and behavioral health; tracks no shows and cancellations utilizing a computerized scheduling system.
Answers multi-line telephone, screens calls according to guidelines, and directs calls to appropriate Health Services staff. Also completes accurate tasking to appropriate staff utilizing our Electronic Health Record system.
Identifies alternative resource needs and refers to the Alternate Resource Specialist as necessary.
Obtains prescription refill information from automated Rx line, logs the call, and routes them to appropriate nurse for PCP.
Maintains the waiting area environment, ensuring that it is neat, clean, safe, and free from environmental hazards.
Participates in Health Services committees as assigned by Patient Access Manager.
Adheres to all Oneida Nation Health Services Security and Confidentiality policies and procedures in regards to all daily job functions, and receives annual update training regarding each area.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalency.
At least one year of medical scheduling experience in a family practice setting.
Proficient in medical terminology, knowledge of computers and excellent data entry skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate with patients, patients’ families, co-workers, and providers in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
