This role involves heavy education and promotion of our services to our clients who are eager to learn how we can help them. It is heavy on telephone, chat, email, and in-person interaction with patients!

By offering minimally invasive treatment options in an outpatient office-based setting, we are able to offer a significantly lower cost alternative compared to the hospital, while also limiting their exposure to additional disease. Position purpose: The Patient Care Coordinator will manage all front-end tasks of the medical office while assisting patients for check-in/check-out at our clinics.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday at our Garland clinic with occasional coverage at our Dallas clinic.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Responsible for ENJOYING building relationships with people
  • Must LOVE working in a team environment
  • Must enjoy making people SMILE
  • Effectively be able to multitask greeting all incoming patients, as well as managing high inbound and outbound call volume.
  • Scheduling in accordance with each locations' schedules
  • Review patients' symptoms and appointment requests, and offer HOPE through scheduling medical consultations
  • Coordinate patient registration and obtain patient demographic information and insurance eligibility to enter into eClinicalWorks EMR.
  • Confirm patient is eligible with insurance plan at the time appointment is scheduled and/or during chart prep.
  • Successfully process and communicate with referrals through the referral management system
  • Facilitate communication with patient to listen to their concerns, explain what they can expect when coming in for their appointment, answer any questions or address any fears they may have.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-three years of experience in customer service.
  • Prior medical scheduling experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology: knowledge in geriatrics, vascular, or wound care a plus!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Basic understanding of healthcare plans
  • Be able to read and understand medical benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
