Northwest Ace Hardware has an immediate opening for a Payroll Coordinator. We are a small office, so you must be a self starter willing to work independently and demonstrate a close attention to detail and accuracy.
Protecting payroll operations by maintaining employee confidence and keeping information confidential is a must.
This position requires a resume, including compensation history and business references.
Primary responsibilities will be processing a monthly and bi-weekly payroll by importing data from time keeping software to a third-party processor that generates payroll checks and remits payroll taxes and deductions. Previous computerized payroll processing experience and Microsoft Excel proficiency are required. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus. Other duties will include organizing, maintaining, and tracking employee payroll deductions (including garnishments): assisting the Controller with administration of the Company's 401 (k) plan; preparing and entering journal entries; assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year end calculations of bonuses and other salary based compensation; and performing other duties related to the administrative function of the Company.
