Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS) is looking for a self-motivated professional who is detail-oriented and enjoys impacting change through customer-focused process improvement. Under the supervision of the Director, Finance, and HR, this role will have the opportunity to impact the complete payroll cycle. The candidate will work on-site directly with ATLAS staff and management and will require the ability to work cross-functionally. PAYROLL ANALYST MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on payroll experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance
- Excellent time management skills and adherence to strict deadlines
- Ability to define problems and articulate solutions in a clear, concise, and consultative manner.
- Internal and external training opportunities may be available for candidates that do not have all the required skills, i.e., there could be on-the-job training for some of the requirements above for an otherwise truly exceptional candidate.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment third-party background check, drug test, and credit check.
PAYROLL ANALYST DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Associates degree (preferably in accounting.)
- Experience in a government contracting financial support capacity.
- Familiarity with Google Centric Business tools as well as Excel capabilities.
- Some experience with Quickbooks or other common Government Contract (GovCon) accounting systems (Costpoint, Jamis Prime, Unanet, etc.)
- Prior U.S. Military Service
- Prior experience collaborating with and/or managing HR personnel
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will require expertise in payroll and timekeeping functions and will coordinate the bi-monthly payroll process. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for preparing and reviewing payroll processed via our 3rd party vendor (currently ADP Workforce Now.) This position will regularly interact with other members of the Atlas team to confirm that bonuses, supplemental payments, and taxable benefits are reviewed and processed in an accurate and timely manner and respond to all payroll, PTO, timekeeping, and other related inquiries in a timely manner. You will be responsible for:
- Provide proactive management of payroll cycle and make appropriate judgments on payroll-related issues.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
- Work effectively under tight deadlines and be dependable and self-motivated
- Ensure payroll system has current and accurate employee benefits and withholding information
- Perform monthly close activities related to accurately recording payroll transactions and preparing journal entries as necessary
- Produce error-free payrolls and payroll reports
- Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and staff to resolve time clock discrepancies and obtain necessary approvals
- Maintain ADP Workforce Now employee records and assist in verifying the accuracy and integrity of employee information across other financial systems and the Atlas HRIS
- Assess processes and identify ways to improve efficiency in the payroll cycle and mitigate payroll compliance issues

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
