Position: Performance Reports Specialist Lead - OPR/EPR (Future)
Security Clearance Required: Secret
Work Location: LA Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA – XP/DS
Position Type / Standard Work Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week
Summary / Objective:
Serve as the Lead for the Performance Reports Team supporting Space Systems Command SSC/DS by coordinating, staffing and monitoring of the organization's military performance reports, feedbacks, and military promotion programs in support of the XP/DS Task Order at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA.

Summary / Objective:
Serve as the Lead for the Performance Reports Team supporting Space Systems Command SSC/DS by coordinating, staffing and monitoring of the organization's military performance reports, feedbacks, and military promotion programs in support of the XP/DS Task Order at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the organization's military performance reports, feedbacks, and military promotion programs
- Serve as the Lead for Performance Reports Team supporting SSC/DS – work closely with the and the SSC/DS Functional Lead to ensure effective customer support and team management
- Provide direct support to the Director of Staff at Space Systems Command, Los Angeles AFB, CA
- Track and monitor military performance report, promotion recommendation, developmental education, and reduction in force actions and suspense dates
- Evaluate the awards and decorations processes and with approval from the Government, develop guidance and incorporate process improvement initiatives to improve the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of the process; providing training to appropriate stakeholders as required.
- Track, monitor, coordinate, review and process military and civilian award and decoration staff packages
- Provide weekly status briefings regarding the OPR/EPR/PRF and RIF program, including timeliness statistics
- Review annual, quarterly, and special award announcements, track their suspense dates, and provide the Government an assessment on individuals or teams which are qualified based on provided eligibility guidance
- Develop semi-annual briefings regarding report policies, duty titles and change of reporting officials, directives and regulations
Competencies:
- Experience working with Officer Performance Reports and Enlisted Performance Reports
- Experience working with senior civilians and military officers in the rank of Colonel/GG-15 and above
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- SharePoint experience and ability to virtually collaborate with geographically separated units
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare documents for review with limited direction
- Ability to work in a high-ranking visibility, rapid pace, and above normal expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to execute with a “teamwork” mentality across numerous organizations at SSC
- Proactive work ethic and effective time management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80%
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
Travel:
- Very little – less than 5%
Required Education and / or Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of Air Force AF Specialty Code 38FX/3S0 (Force Support Officer/Enlisted Personnel) or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in a program or functional or staff organization at a DoD space related agency or center and a BA/BS degree
Preferred Education and / or Experience:
- Experience working with TMT (Task Management Tool) and Non-TMT taskers for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) using the government’s Tasker Management Tool (TMT), Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Workflow email accounts
- Experience supporting SSC and USAF Space Acquisitions
- Experience working in a Directors Action Group or Commanders Action Group at SSC
- Experience as an Action Officer and/or Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) including but not limited to: ability to formulate recommendations, prepare documentation to implement the decision, understand SSC and AFSPC business rules, task management tool rules, undertake the overall responsibility to answer the task, consolidate OCR input, and prepare response
