Our rehab team at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista is eager to welcome a Physical Therapist to their tight-knit department. This team focuses primarily on orthopedic and neurological inpatient cases, but partners closely with other rehab disciplines to provide a collaborative approach to patient care. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and excited to make a difference in this southern San Diego community.

The Physical Therapist provides Physical Therapy evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment and education as prescribed by qualified medical practitioner in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Title 16 requirements.

This is a Full Time (64 hours per pay period), 8-hour Day shift, position located at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. Expected schedule to be Mon-Wed and Sundays.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PT in the State of California.

Current BLS Certificate.

Demonstrated ability to accurately evaluate, assess and treat physical therapy patients.

Physical therapy manual therapy skills beneficial.

Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written form.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a physical therapist in an inpatient (Acute Care, LTAC, Acute Rehab or SNR) setting.
