Job description

The Pilot is directly responsible for the safe and efficient FAR part 91 operation of the aircraft for each assigned flight. The Pilot will comply with Federal Aviation Regulations, Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual policy and guidance.

Education and Experience:

  • Challenger 300/350 type rating required
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license required
  • Current FAA First or Second-Class Medical Certificate required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Aviation required
  • 5000 hours Total Flight Time

  • 2000 hours Pilot in Command
  • 500 hours in Challenger 300/350

Travel:

  • 12-15 days per month, with approximately 70% being day trips

Essential Functions:

  • Operates and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Performs a visual pre-flight (walk-around) inspection prior to each flight and after each flight
  • Acts as a pilot in command (PIC) or second in command (SIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled
  • Assumes primary responsibility for the safety of the passengers, crew members, cargo, and the aircraft
  • Provides excellent customer service to passengers

  • Thoroughly reviews all customer service items including, but not limited to passenger pick up, passenger drop off, refueling, customs, private hangar pick up/drop off private hangar communication requirements, and passenger catering
  • Prepares flight plans considering factors such as altitude, terrain, weather, and navigational aids
  • Complies with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company Policies and Procedures
  • Calculates and reviews the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts
  • Maintains currency and efficiency on assigned aircraft
  • Performs work with a high degree of latitude
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations

  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Limited light lifting
  • Extended sitting on a regular basis common
  • Extensive walking throughout hangar and property common and expected

Work Environment:

  • General environment with extensive interaction with hangar operations
