REVISION DATE 03/13/2023 Shift 2nd (4pm-12am)
Perform a variety of material handling operations and moving of components using powered industrial trucks and manual material handling equipment. Maintain production flow utilizing an established “pitch”, load/unload work, and assist Setters and Operators as directed. Keep work area in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Maintain and continuously develop 5s system that addresses safety, housekeeping, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Support department by timely handling of in-process product and delivering to next process utilizing an established “pitch.”
• Load heat treat baskets per stacking requirements and stage for ready to process.
• Unload processed baskets from heat treat and transfer to planetary shaft utilizing manual material handling equipment.
• Operate magnetic lift to load accumulation table with heat treat processed parts into the planetary shaft cell.
• Load robotic pack unit with empty totes as necessary.
• Unload totes with completed planetary shaft processed parts from robotic pack unit.
• Palletize completed totes of planetary shafts per customer requirements.
• Move completed work to shipping utilizing industrial trucks.
• Assist setters and operators in basic housekeeping, material handling and 5s duties to ensure flow and efficiency through the departments.
• Due to the nature of the LODPS cell and this position, there is an opportunity for this role to transition into an Operator (LG 6) role depending on the initiative of the candidate to cross-train.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess good communication and people interaction skills.
• Must be multi-tasked to make proper decisions with appropriate attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand and walk on a continuous basis through out the shift.
• Must be able to learn oracle manufacturing system.
• Must possess or be able to possess a forklift/walklift certification.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Work is performed in a normal manufacturing area, and on the shop floor.
• This position has an exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, electrical power distribution and controls, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, steam distribution and generation, various types of lubricants, chemical and wash baths, extreme heat from furnaces, extreme cold from cryogenic units, mechanical machine operation, etc.
• This position has an exposure to a high level of magnetic fields created by manipulator system and induction unit.
• Will be regularly required to climb, stand, sit, and reach with hands, fingers, and arms. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
• This position requires regular lifting of work up to 40 pounds and pushing or pulling work up to 1500 pounds with proper equipment.
