Plant Operator (Operations)

Salary: Starting at $28 - $40 /hour Depending on experience

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Plant Operator to join our Front Range Gas Plant Operations team located in Keenesburg, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, Heaters, Flares, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
• Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
• Read and understand P&IDs, Cause and effects, and PHA action items to determine appropriate action
• Regularly hold contractor orientation to ensure safety of all personnel
  
• Perform Lock out/Tag out procedures, with understanding of Hot work, and safe work permits.
• Conduct tailgate meetings with contractors before starting task
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping, valves and filter canisters.
• Prepare maintenance work orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
• Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
• Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes, Pressures, temperatures. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third party interests as required
• Complete assigned reports, logs and reading sheets
• Work irregular hours, outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions.
• Monitor, maintain, and operate processing, gas, and fire protection systems.

Skills And Qualifications:

• 1-year gas plant operations or related experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas processing facilities and related equipment
• Understanding of Motor Control Centers (MCC)
• Proficient with computer control room graphic controls, Scada systems
• Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Knowledgeable of technical and business vocabulary, company operations, organizational procedures and related positions
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment as well as independently.
• Must pass criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to drive a company vehicle
• Personal Computer (PC) and Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Word and Excel
• Understanding of control room graphics and pipeline scada system preferred
