Plasma Operator

We offer competitive pay and opportunities for growth. We are a seeking an experienced Plasma Table Operator for our Midland, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to use pronest to nest call cut parts. All jobs will be pre-nested, the operator will need to safely and efficiently load and unload plate onto and off plasma table with an overhead crane system.
· Safely and efficiently load and unload plate onto and off plasma table.
· Strategize daily plasma table workload and work with managers on priority items.
- Maintain a clean work area. Multitask, work independently, and follow instructions.
- Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings. Must be able to use basic measuring devices, including a tape measure.
- Position workpiece on machinery.
- Detect problems by listening for specific sounds.
- Monitor the accuracy of cuts.
- Operate various shop equipment including a forklift, grinder, sander, drill, and other related fabrication equipment.
- Monitor and control feed rate and speed.
- Ensure efficient consumable usage and work with purchasing on maintaining adequate stock levels for all consumables. Replace consumables on the burn table when needed.
- Regularly check equipment for problems and safety issues on an ongoing basis, must maintain all equipment in good working condition.
· Provide strong communication daily to Managers and team members.
· Willingness to be flexible with job duties.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· Ability to lift and/or carry 70 lbs. over wet terrain
· Able to work 12-14 hours shifts if needed
· High School Diploma or GED
- Entry level position but candidate preferably has 3 years of plasma table operation experience
- Strong analytical and skills and quick learner
- Ability to work independently with no supervision
· Applicants must be Drug Free, a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests are required.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
