Lighthouse Building Services - LBS - is a full service Plumbing, HVAC, Roofing, and General Contracting company in Jacksonville, FL. We are deeply ingrained in the Real Estate industry, we work closely with our sister companies in property management and vacation rental management, and we have both our own rehabs and projects, as well as a wide range of clients’ projects go work on - everything from service call work for the prop management portfolio to new construction design-builds.

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks ranging from fixing leaks, to Repipes and Redrains, to septic system projects, and generally be a well-rounded plumbing technician to work in our Plumbing division.

A successful plumber must have a thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems. They are patient individuals with a practical mind and manual dexterity, able to work efficiently with great attention to detail.

This position is for a fully-trained plumber with demonstrated experience working as the main technician on a diverse range of plumbing jobs, from troubleshooting service work, to repipes/redrains, to septic. We need someone who is able to take responsibilty of assigned projects and able to train plumber's helpers as needed. This position has the opportunity to grow into Lead plumber for a capable candidate.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Install and repair appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems

Skills

• Proven experience as a plumber
• Ability to work with little to no supervision, self-starter, with high-level dependability and honesty.
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly with a great deal of patience
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
• Valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
