  • Job Summary


Directs and supervises, under the direction of the Directors of Pool & Beach all aspects of the Front of the House Food & Beverage and Pool & Beach operations. Main responsibilities are to ensure proper training and supervision of the team and to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Carillon Standards.


  • Essential Job Functions


  • Conduct daily departmental briefings during the coverage of shifts.
  • Represent Pool and Beach operations in Head of Department meetings.
  • Lead and inspire the team using Carillon’s Culture as the foundation.
  • Oversee the development of the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Performs spot checks and solicits feedback from guests about their Pool & Beach experiences.
  • Ensure product delivery meets the highest quality expectations across food & beverage and recreation departments.
  • Is familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintains pool and beach policies and procedures, ensures professional standards of operations.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of all necessary pool and beach supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct training programs on the required job functions with criterion expected and department orientation with new hires. Conduct ongoing training with existing staff.
  • Oversee all required month-end inventories and reports.
  • Maintain and improve service standards in accordance with Forbes Travel Guide, Leading Hotels of the World and Fine Hotels and Resorts, among other.
  • Lead on guest correspondence and complaint handling, follows up as required.
  • Supervises the maintenance of areas for cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, and adherence to health code standards.
  • Assist with monthly pool linen inventory as directed by Pool and Beach Directors.
  • Calculate future needs in equipment, assist in placing orders as needed.
  • Coordinate one-on-one, side-by-side and monthly meetings with team members, follows up on established training steps, supervises performance and provides necessary retraining.
  • Communication between front of the house and back of the house teams.
  • Prepare shift schedule according to hotel forecasts, residential needs and demand.
  • Possess the knowledge to process payroll and tips distribution for Pool & Beach team members.
  • Supervises team member’s punctuality and adherence to uniform and appearance standards.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to a maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Keeps Directors of Pool and Beach promptly and fully informed of all issues (problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action. Involves Human Resources when required.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for pool and beach operations.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, weekend, and Holiday shifts.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
