Responsible for overseeing the Powerplant engine material system, including forward looking demand forecasting, engine overhaul provisioning coordination, alignment of new material ordering, management of the off-wing Powerplant harvesting program with key industry partners. Responsible for oversight of the off-wing engine harvesting program, seamless execution against highly complex supply chain and material production pressures, delivery of $30m or more of annual business savings and associated accelerations of off-wing engine cycle times.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute precise off wing harvesting program forecasts to key business requirements
- Track and report program saving versus annual budgetary savings targets of $30m or more
- Analyze associated off wing cycle time improvements and recommend changes to harvest plan as needed
- Develops and distributes short and long term material demand forecasts for Powerplant programs Responsible for accurate relevant budget input/analysis
- Evaluate and manage harvest workscopes with key industry partners
- Work in partnership with Powerplant team to optimize material provisioning and optimize associated engine life cycle maintenance cost
- Requisition parts required to support engines during heavy maintenance
- Coordinate with Powerplant Materials to ensure timely availability of compliant parts
- Monitor and evaluate quotes and invoices for off-wing engine harvesting program
- Collaborate with Powerplant Program Managers to outline strategic outlook for off wing material needs
- Utilize performance metrics to drive positive business results
- Work with original equipment manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery of new purchased material
- On-site oversite of off-wing engine harvesting program, as required
- On-site review of Powerplant teardowns, repairs, build up and storage, as required
- Perform quarterly scrap reviews to determine and push serviceability limits
- Coordinate shop visit requirements with Powerplant Program Managers and MRO’s
- Performs other duties as directed by Senior Director, Powerplants
- Bachelor’s degree in an aerospace discipline required
- 5+ years of aerospace experience required, Airline and/or Powerplant Repair Station experience preferred.
- Powerplant Engineering background required
- Engine workscoping knowledge required
- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is a plus
