The Military Engines (ME) team has a rare opportunity for an Associate Director, Pratt and Whitney Canada (PWC) Focal.
Located in East Hartford, Connecticut, the ME Integrated Customer Solutions (ICS) Associate Director will act as the P&W ME interface with P&WC for new business opportunities with United States Department of Defense customers as well as key aircraft manufacturers focused on propulsion solutions for small manned and unmanned military platforms of the future. The candidate is responsible for exploring and converting these new opportunities in the military segment to expand applications of P&WC products and services. The candidate will work closely with P&WC and need to understand both P&W ME and P&WC internal operations, in addition to how our military customers operate.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment between P&W ME and P&WC for new business and aftermarket military strategies
- Develop and implement campaign plans, strategies and presentations designed to move future business opportunities through a gated review process and bring them through the proposal and negotiation stages
- Lead the development and execution of winning capture strategies for propulsion development campaigns associated with PWC propulsion solutions
- Successfully assess customer requirements and engage strategic partners to develop compliant, on-time, superior proposals
- Support customer negotiations to secure contracts
- Lead after action reviews and champion process improvements across the organization consistent with P&W CORE principles
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years’ experience in engineering and program management; OR an Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience in engineering and program management
- 5+ years of demonstrated capture management experience for opportunities greater than $50M
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts
- Must have an active/current US Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to assess business needs, translate customer requirements, and work with key stakeholders to develop compliant business acquisition proposals
- Demonstrated knowledge of US DOD federal acquisition regulations and experience working with major airframe developers
- Strong Technical background and track record of successful execution of business acquisition for propulsion development and/or production programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of associate contractors and the competitive landscape
- Executive Level communications skills are a must
- Ability to analyze/solve complex problems
- Ability to work multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to anticipate internal and external customer needs
- CORE (ACE Associate)
- Self-motivated; be proactive and take initiative to complete projects
- Excellent customer focus, team building, and collaboration skills
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Proficient in MS Office 365, Teams, Zoom, virtual collaboration and Agile execution tools
