Overview:
Pre-Employment Specialist (PES) is to support individuals with developmental disabilities (I/DD) as they develop the skills necessary for competitive employment. PES will deliver services by utilizing volunteer opportunities to mimic competitive job tasks throughout the Mercy healthcare system. PES will assess the individual needs of the program participants, develop goals, and progressively track outcomes in accordance with the guidelines set by the Productive Living Board. The PES will perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's Mission, Service Standards, and Core Values.

Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
- Required Education: High School Diploma with additional training in Special Education or related field
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's in special education or related field preferred
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in healthcare/Experience in a Special Education classroom with students 17-21 years of age and/or supporting people with development disabilities in community and work environments
