Community Healthlink's Food Services provide breakfast set up and two hot meals a day to clients in the inpatient detox, respite care, and crisis stabilization programs.

- Assist the cook with preparation of daily menu items
- Prepare ingredients for the shift, washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Adjust food items to accommodate patients with allergies or specific dietary needs
- Prepare oven, utensils, and grill for shift
- Cut, dice and prep food items
- Prepare ingredients for soups, meals and sides dishes for the lunch and dinner meals
- Interact with patients reflecting the highest level of customer service
- Restock supplies, drink items and paper goods between service
- Keep a clean workstation throughout the day
- Help receive deliveries as needed
- Stand for long periods of time
- Able to follow portion instruction
- Perform other related job duties as needed
- Dressing meals for presentation
- Ensuring each ensuring each meal box/tray has the correct food and sides
- Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees and patients
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or HiSET required
- 2 years as a prep cook in institutional or commercial high-volume food production environment
- Must speak be able to speak, understand and read English
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to read and interpret menus and instructions
- Excellent communication and people skills and be a team player
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical Requirements:
- Climb ladders while lifting 40lb cases of food
- Move 40Ib cases of food into storage
- Load 40Ib boxes in carts
- Repeat the same movements
- Use hands to manage, control or feel objects
- Have reliable transportation and current and valid MA driver’s license
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, hand movement and talking. Frequently requires standing, fine dexterity, sitting, and handling.
- Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, crouching, and climbing. Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids.
