Salary: $66,181.41 - $77,860.48 annually, depending on experience

This position is full-time, working 40 hours per week, and serves as the coordinator for the Maternal Mortality Review Committee (MMRC) and the East and West River Child Death Review (CDR) committees. This position works closely with the Maternal Child Health (MCH) Epidemiologist to facilitate MMRC and CDR membership and meetings. Works collaboratively with the MCH team and external partners to research and promote evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies to reduce maternal and child mortality. This position will also develop partnerships to address maternal and child mortality prevention. This position will also be responsible for the management of grants and contracts as well as contract staff for both MMRC and CDR. This position reports to the MCH Director, Office of Child and Family Service
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or another related field. Experience in public health and grant writing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data and information within the scope;
- understanding of social and structural determinants contributing to maternal and child mortality;
- ability to apply new knowledge;
- develop and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare partners, researchers, law enforcement and public safety, and community organizations providing services to women, infants, and children;
- knowledge and experience writing for and implementing grants, including managing grant budgets;
- knowledge, skills, and abilities to work autonomously and contribute to and support a team;
- work collaboratively with team members to strategize and implement new mortality prevention strategies;
- demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- maintain a strong professional understanding and knowledge of maternal and child morbidity and mortality data, research, and prevention.
