Summary
To perform all maintenance duties in the field and administrative requirements associated with each job. To provide the highest customer service standards & relations expected from customers and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts preventative maintenance tests (voltages, resistances, specific gravity, and temperatures) throughout the life of the battery.
Establishes baseline ranges and tracks and analyzes the readings to detect trouble spots.
Troubleshoots low/high readings and makes notes.
Reviews the readings to determine any inconsistent readings that need an explanation.
Prepares preliminary site Preventative Maintenance reports.
Communicates with the clients the preliminary PM results and any immediate actions needed after conferring with Maintenance Manager.
Uploads readings & detailed reports to all appropriate destinations.
Resolves any client preventative maintenance related issues.
Provides technical expertise to management, technicians, and customers where appropriate.
Assists with the battery installations and other service duties as schedule dictates.
Track PM contracts and schedule with customers accordingly.
Must participate and successfully complete all training as required by the company.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and/or Experience
High school diploma (Technical School Certificate or related military training in related field desired) with 2+ years’ experience in the electrical field or equivalent combination of education and experience. DC power and/or battery experience desired. Requires basic mechanical and electrical aptitude. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and meet DOT regulations requirements. Ability and willingness to travel to job sites, do overnight travel, and work nights and weekends, as needed. Basic computer proficiency. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. occasionally. Working knowledge of AC single and three phase power systems, DC plants and battery systems a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
