Principal In-Memory Data Software Engineer

Overview
- The Decision Management program enables intelligent decision based products through streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility.
- This program leverages business rules & AI engines, a streaming big data cluster, an in memory data grids, APIs, & UIs to deliver real time decisions at global scale
- This person will be responsible for mentoring the team as well as stay hands on, while constantly looking at ways to scale the program.
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our DMP team.

Role
- Architect & Design the In-Memory platform of future to scale the growth of in-memory cache over 10 times in next few years.
- Manage your own time while collaborating with teammates to accomplish project goals.
- Mentor the team and set clear architectural roadmaps of the system.
- Collaborate with the teams and make sure the teams are aligned with architecture guidelines.
- Lead participation in PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the Department with selection of Vendor Solutions, Technologies, Methodologies and Frameworks.
- Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
- Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a global environment. Public speaking as a technology evangelist for Mastercard.
Essential Knowledge/Experience
- Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of Java.
- Experience and knowledge working on In-Memory technologies.
- Experience working on latest technologies and have in-depth knowledge of systems.
- Experience working on high performance/low latency systems
- Experience driving architecture for big platform.
- A quick learner and ready to utilize technology to solve critical product problems.
- Good problem diagnostic and creative problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks within the constraints and timelines determined by business needs.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Rules based system (like IBM ILOG/ODM etc.)
- Experience with Dockers, Kubernetes etc.
