Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Process shift engineer supporting fast paced fab in 24 x 7 wafer fabrication operations. Must acquire processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Position requires hands-on sustaining of Thin Film processes including metal evaporation, sputtering, PECVD deposition, implantation and rapid thermal processing and associated metrology tools and measurements. Engineer will use working knowledge of SPC and DOE techniques to control processes. Engineer will work closely with various teams and technicians to ensure process is under control at all times. In addition to sustaining the areas described, engineer will drive improvement in process quality, yield, cost, and overall equipment efficiency by working with cross functional teams from production, equipment, training, quality, and industrial engineering.


Work Schedule: (Week 1-SUMT5:30am-5:35pm); (Week 2-SUMTW5:30am-5:35pm)


Requirements

  • Advance degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, material science, or electrical engineering
  • Preferred experience in semiconductor manufacturing fabrication operations environment
  • Preferred working knowledge of SPC, DOE, statistical software, FMEA
  • Must have strong communication, skills, flexible and work well in a collaborative environment

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $73,400 - $132,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
