Our Houston, TX. site is currently looking for a Process Modeling Consultant.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Mentor early career process engineers in their development of advanced modeling skills and techniques using a range of tools including Aspen Plus and Aspen Dynamics.
  • Mentor process control engineers in their development of advanced skills, techniques, and tools for advance regulatory control and advanced process control development.
  • Serve as an expert consultant as INVISTA pursues the development of process digital twins.
  • Apply expert level knowledge and skills to support process performance troubleshooting and the development of economic solutions.
  • Serve as a broad process engineering subject matter expert during “cold eye reviews” and “challenge sessions” associated with projects and programs.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of routine experience developing and validating process simulations using Aspen plus and or Aspen dynamics in the chemical industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience in supporting process operations through production optimization, performance troubleshooting, and process simulation.
  • 5 or more years developing applications in advanced process control, and advanced regulatory control.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior employees
  • Technical knowledge or operational experience in the production of adipic acid, adiponitrile, and hexamethylene diamine.
  • 5 or more years of experience working in an Engineering Design & Support Center.
