Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision performs all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment.
- Able to perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve throughput.
- Coordinate, perform, and document PMs.
- Maintain current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications.
- Monitor equipment and process status for new products and new installations.
- Able to perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
- Successfully complete the requirements for line certification.
- Is pursuing or has acquired electrical green badge certification or comparable/similar industry equivalent/standard.
- Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors and adjust the process to improve the throughput. Responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment while adhering to all quality and safety procedures. (70%)
- Responsible for performing PMs. (10%)
- Performs routine cleaning and clearing of equipment jams. Performs non-routine maintenance, including clearing of jams. (5%)
- Trains new technicians and cross trains peers. (5%)
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation for adherence to GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned by management. (5%)
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- A minimum of 2+ years in college in technical discipline (or equivalent), emphasizing electro-mechanical, PLC, pneumatics is preferred.
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:
- Process improvement
- PLC systems
- Electromechanical devices
- Robotic/servo systems
- Safety devices
- Equipment installation
- Debug and qualification
- Control circuitry development
- Electromechanical troubleshooting/repair
- Equipment prototyping
- Production start-up
- Equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical parts design, tooling experience, materials/metal working, and mechanical power transmission
- Competent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in an empowered work team environment.
- Required to successfully pass a written skills assessments test and review.
