Role Responsibilities:
  • Purchases parts, materials, and supplies used in the manufacturing process using Oracle ASCP (Workbench). Places orders and expedites when necessary. Use the I-supplier website to accept or reject a supplier change request.
  • Purchases MRO items including office supplies.
  • Reviews Daily reschedules or move in reports.
  • Develops relationships with suppliers through managing accounts and understanding commodities, etc.
  • Manages inventory through conducting checks to determine the status of inventory and placing orders based on the MRP system and production forecast.
  • Works through various quality issues including handling rejected materials, notifying supplier of quality problems, processing defective parts, and maintaining and improving raw materials specification. Works with Inhouse Quality Team when making these changes to follow FMEA and PPAP procedures. Performs negotiations and makes recommendation for settlements with vendors on defective or late shipments. Authorizes payment of invoices or return of merchandise.
  • Help manage SPPAPs for the organization. Create an email to the Corporate Commodity Manager and their Category Analyst. The Supplier will need to upload the results for Corporate to approve. Once approved our Quality Team will need to be informed. Update Planners throughout the process, they will work with customer service on the customer order.
  • Manage invoices in our Markview system. Code and approve non-PO items. PO items will need to be reviewed for receiving/pricing issues and resolved for Accounting to pay Suppliers on time.
  • Comply with standard work practices and SOPs.
  • Keep area organized and clean.
  • Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates degree in a related field (or equivalent working experience)
  • 2 years previous sourcing experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong competency level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Quick learner, flexible and people orientated.
  • Proven appreciation of customer service expectations and cost demands of the business.
