Summary

A Product Manager oversees an entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities such as PO placement, return goods submittals, product promotion, sales team awareness and Eclipse settings. A Product Manger works closely with our logistics, marketing, sales, pricing and AP teams to optimize business value, achieve company goals, and maximize return on investment for the product lines that they manage.


Responsibilities

  • Set the direction of product efforts to ensure highest quality products at best possible price, in the correct amount, at the appropriate time.
  • Use selling skills, account management and customer relations techniques to proactively grow market share and ensure Capital Electric as the top distributor in the market.
  • Acquire quality products, at lowest possible cost, minimize cash tied up in inventory, and maintain the flow of goods to strengthen our competitive position and accomplish financial goals.
  • Manage inventory through purchasing, shipping, receiving, tracking, warehousing and storage, turnover, and re-ordering.
  • Pursue financial goals by seeing and seizing opportunity, making profitable business decisions, and controlling operational costs.


Qualifications Required

  • Electrical distribution experience a plus
  • Demonstration of increased responsibilities throughout
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Eclipse preferred.


Required Skills

  • Strong leadership, management, and communication
  • Eclipse ERP experience preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power
  • Exemplifies qualities of our leadership mindset of Adapt, Dare, Learn.
