About the Position

The Product Research Technician will be responsible for running a small pilot-scale process as part of a team of associates that prepare samples, batches, polymers, composites or other reinforcement/sensor components, based on specific laboratory purposes for standardized/non-standardized testing.
This position must be able to follow work instructions and/or test methods and comply with all laboratory and process area safety procedures while operating in a team.
In addition, the incumbent may be in a facility that requires shift work (including evenings, nights and weekends).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for running a small pilot-scale process as part of a team of associates that prepare samples, batches, polymers, composites or other reinforcement/sensor components on pilot or lab scale for standardized/non-standardized testing
  • Training/learning on how to run tests, prepare samples and run equipment.
  • Complete required testing, analyze/interpret data (to validate results and move process forward)
  • and act as a resource to instruct/guide other Technicians on specific requirements.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associates degree in a STEM related field preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience working as a Lab Technician or 0 or more years of experience working as a Lab Technician with an Associates degree
  • in relevant STEM field

  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in office tools to communicate and perform statistical numerical comparisons (Outlook, Word, Excel, Minitab or other SPC/statistical tool)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow explicit and documented procedures
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to train, teach and mentor less-experienced associates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
