This Production Assembler position is responsible for the assembly and wiring of electro-mechanical systems, including industrial control panels, motor wiring, soldering, light machining and precision mechanical assembly with a desire to be a team player, reliable and willingness to learn. The position is Monday through Friday, daytime shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform detailed mechanical assembly work.
  • Wire motors and sensors according to provided diagrams.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and wire 26 AWG – 12 AWG per documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Straighten, align, and organize wire, cables, and/or airlines to professional standards.
  • Neatly and precisely tin and solder as required per assembly instructions.
  • Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed.
  • Build multifaceted multilevel assemblies while completing the required computer entries with precision and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and organization.
  • Perform re-work of wiring and assembly at request and guidance of QC technicians.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Operate computerized terminal, wire labeling, and automated cutting and crimping equipment.
  • Check work to ensure error-free products and document test findings when applicable.
  • Keep red lines of any changes required during manufacturing and turn them in to supervisor on completion of the project.
  • Adhere to Good Documentation Processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education a plus.
  • Fluent in English; speak, read, and write. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
  • 2-5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret technical material and problem solve.
  • Requires the ability to sit/stand, climb, balance, walk (concrete floor), stoop, bend, kneel, lift (up to 50lbs) and grip.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and desire to work as part of a collaborative and innovative team.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail and focus on process improvements are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively deliver on commitments and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Able to learn/use email, ERP system, Microsoft office, Teams, and label printing software.
  • Proficiency in using hand, power, or measurement tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Familiarity with calibration practices and torquing equipment.
  • Familiarity with UL508A and/or CE wiring standards a plus.
  • Takes initiative, supports, and encourages other technicians in the building of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Good hand dexterity and strength; ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • High motivation level and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others and has a team mentality.

Compensation:

  • $25- $26/hourly (non-exempt)
