Titan International Inc. a global leading wheel and tire assembly manufacturer for the agriculture, construction, forestry and mining markets, has an opening for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all department employees and must ensure compliance with all safety, quality, quantity and housekeeping standards. Uses independent judgement and exercises discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality. Must be able to work any shift.

Essential Functions:

• Will supervise all personnel and operations in the department.
• Maintain through knowledge of all processes and equipment.
• Report any process and equipment problems to the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule repairs and notify other personnel as required.
• Verify that environmental discharges from the plant are within limits where applicable.
• Train, upgrade, evaluate and review all department employees and ensure adherence to current ISO procedures.
• Coordinate with scheduler and other supervisors to organize work for smooth operations.
• Ensure that established policy; rules and regulations; and procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
• Verify correct identification, quantities and warehousing of products.
• Communicates with the next shift Supervisor.
• Responsible for the health and safety of employees. Eliminate hazards in the work place and ensure safe operation procedures are implemented.
• Responsible for all processes equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quality standards on the shift.
• Comprehend and complete all required reports,
• Troubleshoot problems and offer suggestions to avoid problems.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Prefer two (2) years’ related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
• Ability to compute numbers as required for performance ratings and reporting results.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands: This position may require lifting up to 50 lbs. or more.

Work Environment:

Majority of the time will be spent on production floor and an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
